If you find your ball in the woods, it is unplayable. If a professional finds his ball in woods, not only is it playable but he can hit it onto the green.

Sam and Harry are playing one day. On the first hole, Sam hits a wicked slice into the adjoining fairway. The ball hits another player right between the eyes and he drops to the ground.
Sam and Harry rush over to the prostrate man and find him unconscious with the ball laying on the ground between his legs.
Sam screams, "Oh my God, what should I do?"
Harry replies; "Don't move him. If you leave him there he becomes an immovable obstruction and, according to the rules, you are allowed a drop two club-lengths away."
One of the biggest mistakes which is made by most golfers is how tight they hold the club when swinging. I would say that 95% of golfers hold the club far to tight. On a scale of 1 to 6 the correct grip pressure should be approximately on number 2, at first when you try this it will feel very light almost like the club will fly out of your hands, however with a little practice it will start to feel more comfortable. The important thing to realize is when the grip pressure is to tight then the muscles in your body will be also tight and tense “tight muscles are weak muscles”. If you can hold the club at the correct pressure then this will help with the flexibility in your swing which will encourage more club head speed which will result in more power and distance, also the tempo of the swing will improve.
Start on the driving range concentrating hard on how much your grip pressure changes when you start to swing especially at impact, I would say that at impact with most golfers the grip pressure is at approximately 5 or 6, keep working on this until the pressure remains at number 2 throughout the swing most importantly at impact. It will be difficult at first but with a little practice it will become easier and more comfortable. Ask yourself after each shot what number pressure you where at impact. The most difficult thing at first will be to do this on the course, however if you can manage this it will help considerably especially when you are under pressure.
Good luck and let me know if this works for you!!!!
