Sam and Harry are playing one day. On the first hole, Sam hits a wicked slice into the adjoining fairway. The ball hits another player right between the eyes and he drops to the ground.
Sam and Harry rush over to the prostrate man and find him unconscious with the ball laying on the ground between his legs.
Sam screams, "Oh my God, what should I do?"
Harry replies; "Don't move him. If you leave him there he becomes an immovable obstruction and, according to the rules, you are allowed a drop two club-lengths away."
More than 15 years ago there was a garbage dump located on the present location of the Moscow City Golf Club. It is hard to imagine now, that once big piles of trash were lying on the place of to-day’s spectacular landscapes. Not only those piles spoiled the scenery of the place, but they also badly influenced the ecological environment of the Setun river, that is given the statute of the natural reserve.
One of the persons to improve this place wa the well-known hockey player Swen “Tumba” Johansson, that designed a difficult project of building the first in USSR golf-club, the objective, that was hard to reach in the Moscow of the end of 80’s. The history of the MCGC records enormous efforts that were required to put his dreams into real life. Efforts to keep the natural resort continue now.
