Sam and Harry are playing one day. On the first hole, Sam hits a wicked slice into the adjoining fairway. The ball hits another player right between the eyes and he drops to the ground.

Sam and Harry rush over to the prostrate man and find him unconscious with the ball laying on the ground between his legs.

Sam screams, "Oh my God, what should I do?"

Harry replies; "Don't move him. If you leave him there he becomes an immovable obstruction and, according to the rules, you are allowed a drop two club-lengths away."

MCGC VS MCC

MCGC VS MCC

The traditional competitions between the teams of the Moscow City Golf Club and Le Meridian Moscow Country Club, takes place since the year 1996. The Tournament is played annually on the courses of MCGC and MCC and the winner receives the Tournament Cup. The best players of those two Russian golf clubs every year participate in the competitions to nominate a better team. The tournament is played in four-ball best ball match play format on 18 holes of the courses of each club on adjacent days. In match play it is the amount of won and lost holes that counts and any shot may decide the match of the pairs and the results of the tournament as a whole. Only amateurs may participate in those competitions. In the year 2004 both teams lost competitions on their own courses, but due to the total score of the two events it was the MCGC that won. On the 20th of August the teams met in Le Meridian Moscow Country Club at first. The home team turned out to be stronger with the result 15,5 to 11,5, but that was not enough to nominate a winner after the first day. The score of the second day turned out to be the same as the first day score, but this time in favour of MCGC. Thus, the Tournament of this year ended in draw. Due to the terms of the competitions the Tournament Cups stays in MCGC.
